Burnt-out Silk Scarves

Burnt-Out Silk Scarves date back to early textile development in France. Originally called "Devore" (from the French devorer- meaning devour) this new technique was at its best on Velvet Fabric, where the Viscose pile is eaten away to expose the silk backing. A mixed fiber fabric must be used to obtain this effect. Most of our burn-out is a blend of 40% silk and 60% Viscose. It is handmade in China, the silk capital of the world, with hand rolled edges. Choose from 24 patterns and color choices. Perfect to wear draped with a suit or through the loop for a warm snuggly neck wrap.
